From november 2022 to march 2023 I have been as usual at winter exil in Mexico. Most of the time I spended with my friends in Merida, Yucatan. I also went to Comitan, Chiapas, and to Puerto Angel and Zipolite at the Paific Ocean coast. At the Carribean coast – once my favorite place ever – I spended just a few days. A stay there now for me isn’t pleasent any longer. Iff you have a look at the fotos you will se why and hopefully realize what turism the way we practic means to nature.

Tulum Playa

Rivera Maya

México

2023

greed investors and welthy tourists  didn’t need not even two decades to destroy this subtropical biotope

luxurious, plesantly chilled ambience, view of white beaches and turquoise sea – who’s wondering what happens to waste water and garbage or how much diesel is used to produce electricity?

and is there anybody who want’s to know how his beautiful holiydays are linked with all that ugly sargassum?

there is a way out

we just have to take it

where once has been white sand

and crystal clear water,

Sargassum now amounts

in no longer manageable quantities

many of this less than 20 years ago as gold mines built hotel complexes are now deserted places

A caribbean vacation dream turned into a nightmare for speculators and investors. Now I can afford again to live on the beach, close to nature midst of a touristik desaster, happy to see how nature thriumphs in the end.

nature knows how to help herself

wether it turns out

well or badly‘ for us

is up to us!

we should leave alone natural paradieses

or at least treat them with care and respect
